William H. Gates - Chief Executive Officer

Mr. Gates has more than 25 years of financial markets experience, including structuring, capital markets, new issue origination and risk management. Prior to BHAP, Mr. Gates was Head of Corporate Finance and Head of Debt and Equity Capital Markets at Capital One, N.A. He also served on the firm’s Investment Banking and Market Risk Committees. Prior to Capital One, Mr. Gates served as a Managing Director and Head of North American Loan Syndicate for Royal Bank of Scotland. Before RBS he was a Managing Director at UBS Investment Bank and Merrill Lynch Investment Bank, both in the Leveraged Finance Origination Group of each institution. In 1994 Mr. Gates joined Lehman Brothers Investment Bank as an inaugural member of the firm’s Loan Syndicate Group spearheading the firm’s originations effort. Mr. Gates started his career at a predecessor of JP Morgan, completing the firm’s credit training program and eventually joining the Leverage Buyout Group and the Loan Syndications Group.

Paul Zappier - Founder, President, and CTO

Paul is leading the charge to reinvent financial transactions with blockchain technology. As the inventor of the leading patented e-settlement system, ClearPar, and as ClearPar’s Director of IT, Paul was instrumental in gaining market adoption. He is the Founder of RAD Technologies where over the past 25 years he has designed and implemented numerous mission critical systems for large financial services firms.

Pat Henn - Chief Financial Officer

Pat Henn has more than 30 years of financial and operational leadership with a proven track record of execution, having served as CFO/Senior Finance Leadership in leading public and private software/SAAS technology companies including Manhattan Associates, Indus International, Starcite, and Riskonnect. In addition, he is experienced as Interim CFO at various private equity/venture backed organizations.

Nicholas Zappier - Founder, Director of Architecture

Nicholas is dedicated to implementing decentralized FinTech applications. He is a full-stack developer that has worked on applications for large firms such as Bed Bath & Beyond. He is highly knowledgeable and skilled across a multitude of programming languages including Solidity, JavaScript; databases such as SQL server and MongoDB; and technology such as the Ethereum blockchain and IPFS.

Chris Vogel - Head of Sales

Chris is leading the charge to introduce HashLynx technology to the marketplace. He has helped global financial services and technology firms in process improvement, risk management, regulatory reform, technology enablement and sales for the last 15 years. Chris enjoys coaching youth Football and Little League Baseball. Chris lives with his wife and children in Venice, FL.

Greg Biddle - Director of Loan Operations

Greg is a finance professional with over 20 years of experience in the middle office loan processing industry. He started his career at ClearPar, a leading provider of automated loan trading solutions, where he worked as a Loan Operations Specialist. At ClearPar, he was responsible for a team of closers processing and settling syndicated loan trades, managing trade fails, and ensuring timely communication with clients and counterparties. After ClearPar, Greg moved to consulting roles and then Barclays and served as a loan operations specialist. At HashLynx, Greg leads the Loan Operations and QA teams.

Kirolos Basely - Middleware Developer

Kirolos Basely is a middleware engineer with 7 years of experience developing and maintaining software that connects front-end user interfaces with back-end servers and databases. At HashLynx, his role involves developing APIs and other middleware components that enable communication between the application's various layers and client systems. Kirolos has a strong understanding of the financial market and trading systems. He previously worked at Amera IoT, Mighty Signal, Sage and has completed numerous independent projects for clients.
